High-pressure technology
High-pressure technology
The requirements for high-pressure gas and liquid applications are becoming increasingly stringent. At the forefront are safety and efficiency. Both aspects are substantially influenced by the choice of materials and by processes. Intelligent solutions minimise production downtimes and increase productivity.
Nova Swiss offers significant added value through the provision of in-house expertise from high-pressure specialists, its own materials laboratory and the integration of state-of-the-art control technology (PLC), optimised for Industry 4.0. Valves, tube fittings, and pipes are available for pressures up to 10,000 bar.
Pressure-generating systems—such as diaphragm compressors and gas dosing systems are used in both manufacturing and product development processes. Special attention is given to high-pressure components like needle or solenoid valves. For example, in hydrogen (H2) applications, material embrittlement-related damage must be eliminated.
Nova Swiss has developed high-level expertise over decades and conducted intensive in-house material testing. This has made it possible to maximize the product lifespan. Nova Swiss is market leaders in this field.
Hydrogen high-pressure components for the most demanding requirements
We meet the high demands on hydrogen storage and transport with a broad portfolio of certified high-pressure components. Needle and solenoid valves from Nova Swiss are designed for pressures well above the 700 bar common at H2 filling stations. The same applies to our diaphragm compressors, heat exchangers and high-pressure lines. Designed for safe and economical operation, they permanently withstand enormous pressure differences and temperature fluctuations.
Nova Swiss can already cover almost all the requirements of hydrogen filling station manufacturers in the high-pressure range. In addition, we manufacture piping and valves around the tank inside the vehicle. In addition to individual parts, Nova Swiss also supplies components that are fully pre-assembled, tested and prepared for installation.
