The radial system of the Serto fittings is unique. The Serto pipe fitting is the world’s only all-metal, gasket-free, and dismountable fitting – and its installation requires no special tools. Thanks to Serto’s construction, pipe fittings can be assembled and disassembled in the simplest possible way. This saves time and money as all parts can also be used for reassembly if nothing is bent or damaged. Three main factors usually determine the price of a plumbing system: fittings, pipe, and installation time. If the pipe system needs to be dismantled, you can save up to a third of the costs with the Serto pipe fitting. This is made possible by the reverse sealing function of the Serto compression ring nut. The component can be removed without bending the pipe or by removing other sealing points. In addition, the fittings can be installed easily even in tight spaces.

In all standard pipe fittings, the pipe is embedded in the fitting body and sealed with a conical tightening/cutting ring. Serto also works with a cone, which unlike other fittings, is not located in the frame, but in the nut. This has the advantage that the clamping ring is sealed inside the nut. In this way, the piping fitting can be removed radially from the pipe.
The pipeline installed between the tanks is an excellent example of how the radially installed Serto pipe fitting saves work, material and reduces flow resistance in the pipeline.
Thanks to the innovative design of the Serto fittings, its external dimensions are approximately 10% smaller than a standard pipe connector. Therefore, the space requirement is smaller and more pipes and fittings can be installed in the same space.
When removing the Serto fitting, only the nuts of the connection in question should be loosened and the fittings will fall out of the pipe without bending or opening other fittings. In standard conical fittings, the pipes are inside the body of the connector and prevent easy disconnection. In some cases, several fittings need to be opened, re-screwed and closed.
Due to Serto’s radial installation method, the fittings can be pre-assembled, which speeds up installation considerably. This is not possible with standard fittings.
