GIEBEL Adsorber-drying air filters

The GIEBEL Adsorber dryers in the VV-D series are cost-effective solutions without valves. These dryers are filled with 0.1–4.6 kg of silica gel, providing an absorption capacity of up to 1.84 liters of water. Additionally, the air is purified with a three-micron filter. An activated carbon layer absorbs oil mist, protecting both the desiccant and the environment from contamination.

After saturation, the replaceable dryer minimizes maintenance requirements. A disposable dryer is particularly practical in facilities with continuous ventilation and short maintenance intervals. The valve-less dryer generates minimal pressure buildup.

Recommended applications: Hydraulic units, gearboxes, barrels, and IBC containers.

The GIEBEL Adsorber dryers in the VV-DV series feature a stable valve section with disposable, replaceable cartridges. This design ensures effective protection of the vented system and enables easy and quick maintenance.

Dryers equipped with a robust, frost-resistant valve section are ideal for extremely dusty operating environments. Thanks to large valve cross-sections, pressure buildup remains minimal, even with high airflow rates. Additionally, the VV-DV series dryers include a layer of activated carbon granules and a splash guard, which separate outgoing oil mist. This ensures cyclical regeneration and significantly extends maintenance intervals.

The GIEBEL Adsorber dryers in the MA-RV series feature aluminum housings and a separate valve section. MA-RV is suitable for venting aggressive substances or for use in demanding operating environments. The extremely durable housing withstands even the harshest conditions, providing optimal protection for the vented system against water ingress.

The dryers are filled with approximately 10 kg of desiccant and can also be used with FKM or EPDM seals for venting SKYDROL, DOT4 brake fluids, and other hydraulic fluids. In addition to effective air drying, particle separation is achieved down to 3 µm.

MA-RV series dryers can be used in Zone II 2 G / D IIC T4 according to the ATEX Product Directive 2014/34/EU. The saturation of the desiccant is monitored through a viewing window.

The GIEBEL adsorbers in the TB-RV series are used for transformer ventilation. They feature a stable valve section made of glass fiber-reinforced polyamide. Additionally, the dryers are designed with a refillable desiccant cartridge, ensuring extended maintenance intervals and cost-effective servicing. Thanks to the valve section, these dryers are ideally suited for use in extreme, dusty environmental conditions. The large cross-sections of the valves minimize pressure buildup, even with high airflow rates.

Furthermore, this series includes a layer of activated carbon granules that separates outgoing oil mist, enabling cyclical regeneration and achieving exceptionally long maintenance intervals. A hanging version is available with all standard connections for transformers.

The housings of the dryers in the TM-RV series are made entirely of A4 stainless steel. This makes them suitable for ventilating large transformers used in offshore applications. Additionally, they can be used in Zone II 2 G / D IIC T4 in accordance with the ATEX Product Directive 2014/34/EU, meeting the C5-M corrosion resistance class.
